Those vocals are boss! Love how she used her lower register and the oohs at the end, beautiful. Amy is really separating herself with Evanescence with these covers but at the same time I could totally see these working with Ev, just make it heavier. Now I kinda wonder if this is how some of the Lillywhite songs sound like, except with added guitars and all (and possibly a lot less dark).
Seriously love this one even more than her first cover. The video is awesome, really shows Amy's growth as an artist...but still shows her EV stripes. Dark, haunting, and a hint of sexy...very similar to the EV sound I love. I especially love her first lines...
"See the stone set in your eyes See the thorn twist in your side I'll wait for you..."
Def on repeat all the way to LA!!!!! Hopefully I can get my Lockdown promo signed

whenever I listen to this part:
And you give yourself away And you give yourself away (And you give yourself away) And you give And you give (give) And you give (And you give) And you give (And you give)
I can't live Ooo ooo Ooo oooo ooooo (Ooo ooo); Haahhhhh With or without you (with or without you) Ooo oooo ooooo (Ooo Ooo ooo Oooo) With or without you (without you) Ooo ooo Ooo oooo ooooo (Ooo ooo) I'm with or without you

Wow. Just wow. And love, much love for that lower register and those background vocals. I miss(ed) the sound of Evanescence, but I'm definitely extremely glad that Amy dared to show this side of her. It really shows that she has a lot more up her sleeve than most people think. This is great work, I'm a proud fan! *song on repeat*
I have never wanted to facepalm harder than when I saw that Amy covered this song. I cannot stand the original, I didn't even like WATF's acoustic version.
But that being said... I've had Amy's version on repeat all morning. Now THIS is how do you a cover! You take the original material and create something entirely new with your own style and vision. Her vocals are so haunting and infectious, I always find myself singing along with the background vocals.

Loved it I love her lower register, hope she uses it more in upcoming projects. The music is great as well, she made the song her's, I think I like it more than the original which is rare in me, I hardly ever like covers more than originals.
It's great that she's showing us this side of her, that she's finally doing something without any kind of pressure to sound a certain way or have a song ready for this or that month, to be realeased this or that way, this is all very spontaneous, I like it.

I'm actually genuinely upset that I haven't booked a day off JUST so that I can listen to this song on loop, all day, doing nothing but listening to this song through my headphones. It's just that good and she's done such a great job engineering it (the way her vocals circle around your head in whispers and belts is just haunting). Roll on the weekend (think I'm going to dedicate a day to fully appreciate this). Going to take me a few years before I'm bored of this... f*** The Ev concerts had better not blow my mind too much because there isn't much mind left to blow up...
