I guess it helps that I already knew the song and liked it but I absolutely adored Amy's version, it's totally hers. She really gave it her own twist and style. To me, this is one of those instances where I love both the cover and the original equally. However, I do feel like the way she cuts down after the first chorus and into the second verse is too abrupt and anti-climatic but the absolutely stunningly beautiful arrangement throughout the chorus makes up for it. It's really pretty and unique sounding. Can't wait for the next cover!

She has mentioned them in both tweets and interviews, and since I love them too it would be nice to see Amy trying her electronic direction (Lorde) or big instrumental direction (Lana)! |

I never said anything counter to that. In my opinion, I don't think she would want to cover any recent material that would give the perception that she was riding the coat tails of another contemporary artist. I could be wrong, but I think she will want to put her own spin on songs that have been influential of deep meaning to her; i.e. just like Portishead. |

Am I the only one who's had this song on repeat for the past week?
The last chorus though - "So breathe on, sister, breathe on. So breathe on, little sister, like a fool." I never thought that a cover from Amy would be the first song to get me teary eyed.

^Yeah I don't remember it either. This is irrelevant, but long time ago, I remember a fan asked her this question somewhere: if you had to choose between not playing anymore music or only being able to play in Lordi band, what would you choose? and she answered that she would rather play Keytar in that band rather than not playing any music at all  |
