amy and the band did come out and sign items after the show it was just super late or early cause it aat like 12:10 am on the 18th. my first time meeting amy and she even gave me a hug. she is the sweetest person ever. She also ripped off the plastic covering of an orgin cd that the girl in front of me brought and signed the sleeve it was very funny. the concert was great btw.

Is that what she's doing in the picture? Ripping off the plastic with her teeth? Lol.

Am I the only one who thinks she sounds different during this mini tour? Not bad, but also not her best? Everyone is saying how incredible she was live, and I'm sure the videos don't do it justice, but it sounded like she was singing differently, which made the songs sound off to me. Her vocals sound deeper, maybe a little coarse in some parts. I can't explain it. Maybe my ears are broken.

I thought it was a great show! Her voice was amazing, much stronger than on their last tour. Was a great setlist and she had so much energy. I'm a little disappointed with crowds though. In recent shows I've been to, people just stand there with their phones up in the air recording. Nobody jumps up and down and feels the music anymore. Like the girl next to me was actually visibly annoyed that I was jumping up and down the whole time and singing along. You're on the floor at a rock concert! Come on!

Amy was super sweet, wish my partner would of recorded that part but he didn't know how to record on my phone. She was spot on during the concert, and the only one whom seemed to have troubles was troy but wasnt his fault.

IT WAS AMAZING. They sounded so good. I think my favorite was actually New Way To Bleed, the arrangement was great. It was kind of hilarious, because during Going Under when Amy put the mic toward the audience to sing GOING UNDEEEEEEEER, some girl behind me screamed GOING AWAAAAAAAAY and just sounded absolutely pleased with herself.

As we age, the voice matures and "deepens", so that will explain her deeper timbre (I'm only talking about the "fuller" sound you are hearing and not a lowering of pitch). Her voice is a lot fuller now than it was years ago. Also, I think the coarseness you are hearing is from the bad audio quality of the videos. When I saw her in Dallas a few days ago, her voice was crystalline. Those are just my two cents.

Yeah, as a 30 year old woman (with two kids), I'm aware the voice changes, deepens and matures as you age (I mention the two kids, because another poster mentioned pregnancy having an effect). I mean, most of the videos that have been posted are pretty awful (sound quality wise), but I felt like her vocals were raspy and forced/uncontrolled for some parts, like she had a cold. She still sounds great, just different to my ears when performing these songs now. Everyone is raving about the shows (yay!) and says she's at her best, so I guess I will cross my fingers and hope they do more shows that I can get to.

robinsparkles85 Yep. All the hormonal shifts and changes your body undergoes during pregnancy definitely have an effect on the vocal folds. That is still so bewildering to me. Do you have any specific videos/moments in mind? I love talking about this kind of stuff, and maybe I could offer some insight. By the way, where are you from?

I've heard when she had colds and with the meeting after the show and talks through out the show she definitely was not sick. the audio from these concerts will never be good do to poor recording. But alas we hear and feel what we want, but i can assure you no one at the la show had anything to say but praise.

Other than minor intonation and breathing issues (which happen a lot to singers when they are rocking the bleep out), she really did sound fantastic. Sound from unprofessional concert recordings is often distorted and full of noise. It is not an accurate representation of the quality of the live performance. You also have to take into account that sometimes the camera will pick up people singing out of tune nearby.

I remember when I saw Evie in 2012 I thought Amy sounded SO MUCH BETTER than in the YouTube videos I'd been watching for years beforehand. The same goes for when I saw Within Temptation last year. Videos can definitely be deceiving. Plus, just listening to each album from Origin to Ev3 you can hear how Amy's voice has deepened and gotten fuller over the years, as dannycastillo was explaining.
