Are there any audios of it?It wasn't on spotifiy. On spotify she talked about Secret Door. When she explained what Disappear was really about was at the radio interview with Lzzy from Halestorm and Pete from Chevelle. DeMarzi asked the question if I'm not mistaken. That's what I thought, but I wan't sure if there was a Spotify thing too. What did Amy say about Disappear; I don't remember. And yes, DeMarzi asked about it. lol.
P.S. What did Amy say about Secret Door on Spotify?

The live version is KICK ASS. I've never been big on this song. I just found it to be "ok" and a bit forgettable. But the live version has really changed my mind. I wish they would've done the studio version this way! ^ O.O Exactly what I was going to write! I don't listen to Disappear very often because I always thought nothing interesting really happened in the song, but the live version is spectacular... I particularly love the drums before the last chorus. I hope they start thinking about these things while they're on studio to make the songs more interesting, but I also love when they add new things on live performances.

As Worm Baby said... and NOW i love it! And as Harridan said... i wish that they had added Disappear earlier to the setlist. Like, in June when we had them at my home.

Disappear is definitely one of my favourite tracks. To me it seems to express an element of seeing someone making decisions that aren't really the best, and wanting to help them, begging them to feel and live, to let go of fear. I wonder if it's directed at the former band members?

I just love that shred solo that Troy plays when they play this live. Totally unexpected, but it just works! I hope they play it on the UK tour this November (:

That live performance... is AWESOME. This solo just shows that there HAVE TO be more solos on the album! Not only a guitarsolo, a pianosolo 'd be cool too. I didn't like the albumversion that much, but a solo clearly does wonders!

P.S. What did Amy say about Secret Door on Spotify? Here's what she says about "Secret Door": Inspiration for Secret Door: I was having a recurrent dream. When I woke up every time all I could remember was this round door, overgrown with ivy and a really strong feeling of love- for something through the door. I wrote the song about love within a dream and the idea that reality is only the one you choose. Disappear is so poppy, I love the chorus, it sounds so happy...

You don't go from CMWYS's "I've had enough, GTFO" in... 2005 (when she actually wrote it) to Disappear's more mournful message, written at least half a decade later and post-marriage to another man that actually does her right. She has no reason to revisit that relationship. She crafted her Top 10 hit out of the situation and she's done. He might've gotten a thank-you note for his minor role in helping debut her sophomore effort at nearly a half-million sold. That's probably about it.

It was that Spotify chat thingy, only US people could chat with Amy, I think some people from other countries got to enter into it using a different IP address or something. Here's the full chat if you missed it: evanescenceturkey.com/us/spotify-chat-with-amy-lee/We're being "OFF topic". LOL! Whatever.

It's been debated that it might even imply it could be about Shaun, but I think that's stretching it a little. I'm sorry but Amy said it was about holding onto someone who had died and it's just bringing you down and holding you until you eventually disappear or something like that. She said it in the Rockline radio interview with Lzzy Hale, Amy, and the guys from Chevelle from July 23, 2012. DeMarzi asked the question.
