If Ev released the Lillywhite album as planned, do you think that the band would be in a better place right now success-wise? It's no secret that Ev aren't as successful and well-known as they were during the Fallen and The Open Door eras. By 2011, most of the public didn't like the kind of music that Wind-Up forced Ev to make for the self-titled. Not to mention that if the Lillywhite album was released, the band wouldn't have gone one extra year without a new album.
What is your opinion on this?

I don't think it would've given them more success. They were still with Wind-Up, and Wind-Up would've been even more clueless about how to promote it than they were with Ev3.

Given how "fans" are reacting to Aftermath, I'm not sure if those people are capable of liking anything that isn't just your standard Evanescence album.

I really have given up reading all the whining. lol. And not sure if the LillyWhite album would have given EV more success, but I feel like it would have def painted EV in a different picture. I am still hoping we get to hear it one day....

I'm just at how stupid people are with this "electronica" stuff and Aftermath. Like, go read some articles. They would complain that the Lillywhite stuff was too poppy and too whatever because people think of the most stupid reasons not to like something. And what's worse, they don't even give it a chance to let it grow on them.

Sadly I have to say no. From what I've seen with Aftermath, nothing tells me people would like an album with more electronic than rock (and those were ALWAYS the essence in Evanescence, the electronic elements have always been there). I just wanna go out there and slit some throats. I seriously thing some "fans" thought with their intestines instead of their brains, to say stupid things like disrespecting Amy. Nothing convinces me it would have success and as someone already said, Wind-Up would never know how to deal with that kind of music. It's too far off their terms and work methods.
