US first week sale #47 with +-5.5k copies sold. Not bad. Consider lack of promotion and no physical cds available ?

US first week sale #47 with +-5.5k copies sold. Good. I was worried at first because the album wasn't in the top 50 on HDD in the Monday update.

Well, in my opinion „Aftermath“ should not be overrated. It´s a soundtrack, nothing more, nothing less. I´ve downloaded the album and for sure it´s mainly awesome music. Especially I love the Arabian influences. But seriously: „Push the Button“ is disco music, and it does not fit to Amy Lee. My favourite song is „Lockdown“. Greets!

I wouldn't consider Push the Button "disco" music. *shrug*

Push the Button sounds much more like synth-pop than disco. Disco in its literal meaning is the music genre from the 70s (you know, large pants on the bottom, big afros, big sunglasses and heels tall as Burj Khalifa), so it can't be applied to electronic music in general. It's a genre of its own.

Yeah, Push the Button is definitely synth or electro (I'm not even sure I'd call it 'pop', I'm not sure where I'd sit it really). If you need an example of disco, think of ABBA.

I don't think she meant this kind of disco. If our countries are as similar as I think they are, including the way we adopt foreign words, she meant club music (like disco = discotheque).

I think „disco music“ can be defined in different ways. I wanted to express that the song sounds different than I would have expected from Amy. It sounds like „pop music“, which is played in discotheques. Greets!

Well, I read an article recently that called her ''disco diva'' referring to Push the button. I don't why, but it sounds kinda interesting to my ears.

Took a listen to Push the Button and it somehow reminds me of NFSU 2. I have to listen to the song a bit more to decide if I like it or not, I'm a bit divided at the moment.

So, Amy, the "dark goth metal chick" grown into "disco diva with sexy song", all of a sudden lol It's awesome how people need to label everything. Funny though +1, harridan was right about the discotheque/club music meaning above. it's also widely used in my area (Central Europe).

Well, I'm late to the party as usual, (I've only just finished listening to it first time around,) but oh my goodness! I love it! I'll give it another spin and but something more coherent together.
