^ There's this guy that is singing so excited, I thought he was going to die, HAHAHA!
Beautiful version, the piano gives me chills. I think I like it even more than the original one.

Really indifferent to the 2016 version to be honest.I was sort of hoping for a bit more....I dunno, production, to it? There were no backing vocals or anything. Just essentially an exact studio version of the acoustic performance played on tours, which I have to say, I was kind of expecting. I think it's pretty lazy though, to be honest. What does everybody else think?

Pretty much agree with you. I like Amy's voice a lot more in the new version, though I was never a big fan of this song in the first place.

What does everybody else think? I wouldn't say it's lazy considering she didnt need to re do the song at all. She wanted to try something different and she decided to share it with us so it's nice to have a different version of the song. I wasn't a huge fan of the original so I love that there is a more simple version of it

To be honest, I actually wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do! I thought the new acoustic version she was doing live was nice and all, but I was definitely hoping for something more like the 2003 live version with all the fancy production. I have to say though that I completely adore this new arrangement. The stripped down simplicity gives it this new eeriness and emotion, and her voice sounds incredible and is filled with such powerful longing. It's funny, I was prepared to come in here and express disappointment with the new version, but it's the complete opposite! I'm in love with it! "Even In Death" has remained one of my all-time favorite Ev songs over the years, and I am so pleasantly surprised with this update. It makes me love and appreciate the song even more. Thank you, Amy!

Think I got the bridge figured out for the new version. What do you guys think? Don't click of you don't want to hear it until you hear the song. Listen to Even In Death (Bridge) by DekkerChristopher #np on #SoundCloud soundcloud.com/dekker87/even-in-death-bridge

Simple, fragile & Nostalgic.
I was already a big fan of the original song and i liked the opera kinda style to it. But the 2016 version sounds much more matured. Real & simple. There's really not too much to it. Amy's angelic voice, piano and string instruments. But i believe that's all needed in this song. Beautiful!

Thank you, Amy! I actually feel the same way, Even in Death is one of my top Ev songs so I definitely have high wishes for this one. I like the live acoustic version and all but the Origin version was still better and I was hoping for a lot more bells and whistles for the studio version even though I expected it to be just the same as the live one, so I have high wishes but low expectations. I was also expecting it to be just as short so I was pleasantly surprised when I heard that it was a lot longer. When I first listened to it, I thought it was lovely and that was it, I listened to it again and what caught me was the piano during the bridge and so on. I thought it sounded classical. I do really like how both versions are polar opposites of each other, different vocal styling, different arrangements, different atmosphere.

Just listened to it. it's the extended version of what Amy performs in recent tours. sounds simpler, softer and less melancholic but much darker and mysterious. Amy's voice is just perfect as always and the piano solos make your soul fly! different version but as good as the original. loved it!

It sounds mature, defined, simple, elegant, and it really does the song justice. I think this sound was what Amy was going for. The original has a lot of angst, and it's all over the place..kinda like where Amy was at back then. Now, she took that same song and brought it to where she is now. I think it's perfect. It really shows her growth as a person and an artist and it's cool that we kinda get to experience that within this song. The two versions are night and day, and as much as I love the original I will choose this version over the old one any day! The only thing I am sad about is that during the two Spring and Fall tour Amy would have performed the bridge!!! So awesome!!
