Joel Hoekstra says that Amy will have a solo record

Heavy metal guitarist Joel Hoekstra, memeber of or Night Ranger, the Broadway hit Rock of Ages and Trans Siberian Orchestra recently stated to be having some sessions with Amy Lee of Evanescence and Dave Eggar.

We contacted Jail an he willed to give us some information about his upcoming work with Amy Lee and Dave Eggar. Acording to his sayings, he has been working with them as a plaeyr for the guitar parts of a song they composed, for a film she scored.

Replying to our our question if it was just an instrumental or a song he cleared out:
The song for the movie had singing in it.

Finally, regarding to our questions, whether the song will be released soon, Joel didn't hesitate to tell us:
It might end up on her solo record as well.

indicating, that Amy Lee IS working on a solo record this period. Hoerver, asking him to declare it a little more, he also added:
Not sure if she will release a solo album this year.

It seems that Amy Lee is currently going solo, and this statement proves this. Tell us your opinion. Do you think that we will get a new album of Amy Lee in 2014?

It seemed fishy at first since he seems to be like a big a deal but was never mentioned by Dave and Amy, then I googled and found this on his facebook...

It wouldn't bother me if Amy went solo I don't think. As long as she continues to release music one way or the other, I don't think I'll mind who it's with. But I'm not getting my hopes up for this 'interview', I'll wait until something more official comes along.

As you will notice , the article has been updates removing those information about solo album. It doesn't mean the information was not accurate . we just came again in touch with Joel and decided after his own advice to remove it cause Amy is responsible for that. He rethought that he didn't want to spread Amy's plans and we respect that.

and if we do hear something from amy its most likely going to be on her new Facebook page... her first and only status said that she was finally hooked up with a facbook page

Did Joel Hoekstra introduce Amy to Mark Zuckerburg and did the creator of Facebook Himself organise to boot the last users of the Amy Lee Facebook page and give it to Amy and verify it.

... Anyone else seeing this connection?

Amy has said in the past the internet is the future for music... What if she's collaborating with Facebook to release her new music? what if Mark is paying for the solo album to be made?

I'm just thinking aloud here... but What if I'm on to something

hahaha, it sounds so crazy, but it still makes some sense. Info about Ev/Amy is always so misterious. One never knows what to expect from it.

I am not surprised at all by this info. I think it's probably true, I always expected Amy to go solo after she gets out of the Wind-up contract. I'm not really sure how I feel about it, though. I'm happy with whatever Amy decides to do, but I'm really scared about Ev never coming back, so it's kinda bittersweet feeling (?).

I love the Mark Zuckerberg theory, btw, and I also think it might be possible



I just hope we'll get some music and stuff soon, and I REALLY hope everything about Ev not coming back is just me being extremely pessimistic about band's future. I guess I'm the biggest pessimist about all Ev related xD

I know about Trans-Siberian Orchestra although i didn't know these guys' names [looks under a rock]. But i'm not on facebook, I avoid having it purposely... [hides]... and i hope that Amy plans to update her twitter with news NOT a day after her facebook - like it happened today with Lockdown! Damn I don't want to use it nor watch it and look for all the things there, it's ugly. [crawling back under the rock]
