Lyrics:
AnywhereDear my love haven't you wanted to be with me?
And dear my love haven't you longed to be free?
I can't keep pretending that I don't even know you
And at sweet night, you are my own
Take my hand
We're leaving here tonight
There's no need to tell anyone
They'd only hold us down
So by the mornings light
We'll be halfway to anywhere
Where love is more than just your name
I have dreamt of a place for you and I
No one knows who we are there
All I want is to give my life only to you
I've dreamt so long I cannot dream anymore
Let's run away, I'll take you there
We're leaving here tonight
There's no need to tell anyone
They'd only hold us down
So by the mornings light
We'll be halfway to anywhere
Where no one needs a reason
Forget this life
Come with me
Don't look back you're safe now
Unlock your heart
Drop your guard
No one's left to stop you
Forget this life
Come with me
Don't look back you're safe now
Unlock your heart
Drop your guard
No one's left to stop you now
3:38 - 4:15
We're leaving here tonight
There's no need to tell anyone
They'd only hold us down
So by the mornings light
We'll be halfway to anywhere
Where love is more than just your name

"There's a lot of prejudice against the undead"Song:
Some Things To Think About/Debate Over:
-The Outtake is a rendition of Anywhere (the middle part) with David singing dramatically. Ben later says "you're not saving that," but apparently they did (as a hidden track).
-This HAS been played Live @ the TNT Powerhouse, Arkansas on Feb. 03, 2001. It was the tenth (last) song played. Unfortunately, the audio for this has not been released yet.
-Ben apparently wrote this song, even though he claims it is his least favorite song.
181. Katia - What's your least favorite song that you've ever written?
anywhere's pretty high on the list
-People (EvRumor) think Ben doesn't like "Anywhere" anymore because he wrote it for Amy:
In fact I would like to hear David singing "Anywhere" with Hannah.
Wellllll... Since Ben wrote that song for Amy... I doubt David would want to release that.
remember back when Efanar posted on EvBoard how he said Ben HATES that song now? Yep. that's why.
-EvLore seems to think that Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (specifically the 1996 movie version featuring Leonardo di Caprio and Claire Danes) was inspiration for this song. Is this an assumption (due to its lyrical content?) or was there an interview where this was stated? What about Before the Dawn (where the same is said)?
-Richard Maaranen from
Ballistic Test magazine (when reviewing Origin) had this to say about Anywhere:
"Anywhere" for example is a beautiful love song filled with the hope that comes from above.
-The songs "Anywhere" and "Origin" were the only two songs on the Origin LP to be updated on the BMI site (notice the different set of numbers in the Origin LP - the other songs are located in the 6 million, but these two are in the 11 million).
-Amy Lee on 'Anywhere':
Thank you!! That's why it's going in the Boxset. See when I listen to Anywhere, I just picture like, a Renaissance fair date....
SOURCE-The quote, "There's a lot of prejudice against the undead" comes from the movie My Boyfriend's Back (1993):
My Boyfriend’s Back (1993):
Missy McCloud (Traci Lind's): You know it's terrible the way those zombie movies twist the truth like that.
Johnny Dingle (Andrew Lowery's): There's a lot of prejudice against the undead.
