The first leaked version (with the volume change at the end) is definitely a poor quality song. The one that just leaked is a bit higher quality, but it still sounds unpolished. At least, to me it does. |

At least, to me it does. I know we called it a pre-master, but what if it's sort of like a demo? Demos usually have an unpolished sound. And even if it's a demo, it could still be a pre-master, right? The master recording is the final recording, I thought. I've always thought the choir in TA sounded unpolished, but then I find that to be part of its charm. Personally I think the HQ version is the best we're gonna get because I don't think they recorded a 'polished' version. Also, TLSIWOY is just Amy and the piano, so there wasn't a lot, if anything, to polish up there, either. |

I still love it to death and have had it on repeat for the last few days, but it feel like this song wasn't "mastered", if that's what you call it. |

The way I understand it: The master recording is the finished product that gets put onto the recording master to make the album/LP/EP/disc/cassette/vinyl/etc... The mixing is the part where the track is mixed (obviously) and then goes into the state of mastering/compressing/equalizing/etc... So it's like the last phase of mixing is where the tracks/stems are polished. A polished version wouldn't be recorded. It would just be what everyone is happy with and then get put into the mixing/mastering piles. So it can be a mixed but un-mastered/un-polished version. Idk. That's just how I understand it. It's pretty confusing unless you're a music/sound engineer. |

It's a little annoying but it's bearable. I just don't know if it's supposed to be there.

If you play it from the tumblr, it glitches if its still loading or if there are a lot of processes on your computer..scared me too haha

When does it start on IYDM anyway? I got the 320kps and it sounds way better than the first leaked version we got back in 2012. |
