Wow I just listened to Push the Button and it is SO DIFFERENT from everything AMY has EVER done. Can't wait to properly hear it. Sounds like something you could dance to at an underground club PS: I like this more than Lockdown. At least that's my first impression. WE NEED THESE SONGS ASAP! (Can you people imagine how awesome will new Ev album be without Wind-Up glued to their butts? Amy Lee has so much potential that has been held back by those idiots and now she's unleashing it!)

And I'm happy for Amy that she's making the kind of music she wants to make.

Both songs sound so damn good and fresh, but.. also old school in a way? Like a throw back to 90's electronic music. I'm probably the only one who thinks that though. lol I can't imagine it being anyone else other than Amy singing in Push The Button. She needs to put that on her solo album or EP, or whatever she ends up releasing, cause it sounds amazing. You're definitely not the only one reminded of the 90s. Lol. When we first heard the snippet from the chorus of Lockdown, I was instantly reminded of 90s alternative music.

Sorry I'm a little slow on the draw here. But I thought the soundtrack would be available for download. Or is it just the movie to rent?

Just the movie to rent for now, and the movie will be available for full download from U.S. iTunes from November. Not entirely sure what's happening for the rest of us, though. I jumped on iTunes UK yesterday before remembering why I'd never been on it before, I swear it has about five films total, haha In terms of soundtracks/solo Amy stuff, it sounds like something is definitely coming, but we don't know when yet. There will almost certainly be trolling, so much trolling Realistically, I'd imagine the full soundtrack release (if there is a separate, purchasable soundtrack) will be in November with the film.

I'm hoping something comes within the month, otherwise Amy wouldn't / shouldn't have said "coming real soon" xD

Good point. Guess it's just wishful thinking whatever it is, it'll be worth the wait

And I'm happy for Amy that she's making the kind of music she wants to make. I agree, I've been saying this forever, it's been pretty clear with the added male vocals in BMTL, the struggle to put out TOD, the whole reworking of that Lillywhite material and change of producers, that Win-Up has been holding the band back and especially Amy. I hope Amy and the band finally find that freedom to do something different next time around and don't feel pressured or scared of trying new things, because sincerely, that's what I think their music needs: fresh ideas and a bit of risk. About the songs, I like both and agree with idletalk about the 90's feel, especially PTB has that trippy vibe. I love the beats to PTB and her vocals in Lockdown are flawless.

so, for people who have seen the movie - is Amy's music only played during the film, or in the credits as well? And what about the score? Can someone put a snippit of Amy playing keyboards or something?

Can someone put a snippit of Amy playing keyboards or something? They were only played during the film (Push the Button once, Lockdown twice). As Amy said, the pieces used during the film were mostly sounds, the few pieces that have some sort of melody were mostly Cello pieces.

Well I've watched the movie (from my 24 hr rental on iTunes - 24 hours?! C'mon at least VOD is a 2 day rental!!!) and it was a good movie. It was definitely directed in a way to portray the turmoil, pain, guilt, and internal questioning Lee was doing. I think it would have been a better movie, though, if it was more about her regaining control of herself and empowering herself. But eh, oh well. It was still a good movie.
