Basically fans kept harassing the radio stations, however they could, to play the song and the radio stations got annoyed so they didn't play it or only played it a few times. Not sure if this happened world wide or if it only happen in a certain country. Are we saying that is what caused the single to only have a limited release in (some?) European countries and not have full release world wide/was recalled in many countries? Or did I misunderstood the question? I'm not sure if the some fans caused the *rumored* recalls. I just think they had limited releases like the rest of the singles that followed SS. It's rumored that the singles were recalled (according to sellers on eBay claiming there are UK versions of the single and EvRef SS Page).

I've heard it on the radio before; I was so happy! It's one of my favorites from The Open Door, and one of my favorite music videos EVER. It's so eerie! I usually end up listening to it when I'm angry.

Basically, I don't understand the point why would a DJ at the radio station decide to NOT play the song when someone clearly wants to hear it & it's available. Maybe I just don't have enough experience but I though that the sense of the songs on request is the exact opposite... *MergedI'm not sure if the some fans caused the *rumored* recalls. I bought my European SS single right after it was released and appeared in my local CD store.

Maybe I just don't have enough experience but I though that the sense of the songs on request is the exact opposite... I'm a bit fuzzy on it all since it was so long ago, but I think the problem might have been that fans were spamming the hell out of the Twitter and Facebook accounts of radio stations and DJs. It was very apparent that it was just a huge group of Ev fans obsessively making all these requests. If I were those DJs, I'd have been pissed off too and feel less inclined to play the song. It was very rude of us, and unfortunately, Ev paid for it.

OK. I highly doubt that in THAT time (spring 2007) there were such channels as FB and Twitter widely available for everyone (DJs or fans, whatever). I think that it was still a geeks' thing back then, more than the common way how to contact anyone. But yes, even if it happened via different channels, it could make sense. Thank you.

So, was this song played or was it not played at the Maquinaria Festival 2009 liveset? According to this, it wasn't, and according to this, it was played. YouTube also says it wasn't played there.

Dude, I had completely forgotten that this song was nominated for a Grammy until just now. That's pretty damn cool! Especially considering its lack of commercial success. I've kind of disliked the fact that this song became a single, but I guess it was worth it after all.

I heard this song on my Slacker radio iPhone app once but I'm not sure if that counts, lol. But anyway, I do love this song. I remember being on a website with the lyrics and you could comment the meaning and your opinion on the song. Most of the comments consisted of the fans saying that is wasn't a good song and that they were disappointed it was a single. Honestly, this is one of my favorite Ev songs. It's really angry and emotional, which I think is why I love it so much. My favorite line would have to be ''One day, I'm gonna forget your name. And one sweet day, you're gonna drown in my last pain''.

This song is one of the worst songs made by Evanescence post-Fallen. It's so boring and it goes nowhere. It's such a shame that this was chosen to be a single instead of ATILF or WotW.

Veronica Roth stated she listen to this song while penning the first scene she wrote in Divergent-- the scene where Triss is leaving her family behind with the Dauntless. Veronica Roth has excellent taste in music.

This may be my most favorite on the album. Such an energetic song! This was the first I heard from the album and I knew their sound had changed and Amy's voice had matured. The album had matured with me almost. Really like this one, but then I'll continue listening and say I like others too and/or for different reasons, but this stands out big time. So, "officially" my most favorite...I think. (Call me when your sober is pretty amazing though too, and has that great video with the wolves and the red cape, right??) oh, right, right "It's true, we're all a little, insane..." Definitely my fave.
