Could this song get more beautiful? Specially when it's acoustic! The way she sings it.. Aww makes me cry just like it used to be when I first listened to it! They way they arranged everything. Ahh!! It's flawless!!

^ Amazing video, I was really hoping they released this HQ version... I think it would be a great song to replace My Heart Is Broken or Lithium in some concerts. It doesn't really need backing vocals or any "aditional sounds" so they should be able to add it whenever they feel like it...

It's flawless!! That's my favorite performance of ATILF! When I heard ATILF for the first time, I don't really like it because of the intro. I thought it was kinda annoying... Then I heard the acoustic version and it became my favorite song off The Open Door. After some time, I began to like both versions of ATILF =] My favorite lyrics: Guess I thought I'd have to change the world To make you see me To be the one I could have run forever But how far would I have come Without mourning your love?

Latley I've been so into the acoustic version that I can't listen to the original, it's just to die for

Oh how much I love the acoustic version of this song! During soundcheck at the show I went in June, Amy hit the intro notes on the piano and I freaked out., but unfortunately it was warming up. I would die to hear this live

I've always loved this song's acoustic version, the one from the Lithium single. I've never heard the one from the video posted in this thread until today, and I really like this as well. Honestly, I've always preferred this song acoustically; it's so beautiful.
But, for the first time, I can really relate to this song right now. I've been listening to the album version a lot... it's so weird how Amy's lyrics can do that. Even though I bought The Open Door the very day it came out and understood Amy's lyrical meaning, I never had a personal connection until yesterday...
"Take my darkest fears and play them Like a lullabye Like a reason why...
...All that I'm wanted for Although I wanted more Lock the last open door, My ghosts are gaining on me
Guess I thought I'd have to change the world To make you see me To be the one I could have run forever But how far would I have come Without mourning your love?
...Should it hurt to love you? Should I feel like I do? Should I lock the last open door? My ghosts are gaining one me."

@lost Whispers: I actually like the way this song kicks off with that hard-rock-driven intro. Then the orchestral part comes in and it just adds up to the intro so well... And then you've got the lyrics. Still cannot truly relate to them but I like their message. Not to mention how beautifully emotional Amy's singing is, including on the acoustic version provided on this thread. However, I honestly miss the heavy sound to it, especially in the chorus. Or maybe I'm just too used to the original version...
It's a shame the band didn't get to shoot a video to ATILF, though. I personally would've preferred it ten times more over GE.

I still haven't completely warmed up to the album version of ATILF. When I first got The Open Door, this and Lose Control were tied as my least favourite song, but I learned to appreciate Lose Control for the masterpiece that it is. When I was warming up to All That I'm Living For, I heard the acoustic version and nearly peed myself because it was so beautiful. The album version just doesn't cut it for me. I think it could be because of the very start of the song. It sounds kind of cheesy, I guess, and instantly makes me want to skip it.

This song's lyrics are pure poetry. Nuff said.

This song's lyrics are pure poetry. Nuff said. Probably one of their best songs lyrically. Especially the second verse.

I hated the album version of this, because it annoyed me so much, but when I heard the acoustic version (from Nissan and Yahoo), I had an orgasm! lol.

Ok, I must say that I love the album version (sure, the acoustic too). It's one of my favorites from TOD.
