This song makes me cry everytime I listen. I don't know. I'm so sorry of Amy. I can feel Amy's pain . And I miss my grandpa and my friend .
P.S - this song was written by Amy for her sister who died when Amy was 6 and she was 3 .

Most of you probably already heard about this, but they played a little bit of the Like You intro a few days ago.
It's Lithium, starting with the Good Enough intro and a little bit of Like You.

This song is so underestimated, I know I don't listen to this song that often myself. But the thing about this song is it is so powerful. Vocally, I haven't that witnessed that much pain in any Evanescence song. Those screams are so primal that you can actually feel them.

Amy probably never will actually sing Like You (or Hello) live, just because of all the pain that composes the art of lyric would be too much and bring her to tears....

She played a bit of the intro at the show I went to as well.
I get chills just about every time I listen to it, particularly at the "forevermore" bit. The lyrics are gorgeous. :')

Î love Like You. I love it both musically and lirycally, and Amy's voice sounds gorgeous. I love all the creepy and sad sounds. This is a magnificent song and i'd kill to see them playing it live. I guess Amy would struggle with the bridge, but maybe she could change that part a bit to make it suitable for a live version.

See, I don't think this would really happen. Amy's a grown woman, she's dealt with that loss her entire life. She wrote the song, she sang it in a recording studio (with how well-produced Ev albums are, she probably did take after take of the song, over and over again) she did backing tracks, worked on the music under the voice, etc... Add the years since the song was written and there's a 99% chance she's completely desensitized to the pain she may have felt writing it, if any... I say 'if any' because I always thought of Like You as being a bit of story telling as opposed to an actual outburst. She took the time to write some of the most figurative and least literal lyrics in any Ev song (and also some of the most blunt), which meant she analyzed those thoughts and feelings thoroughly in the past in order to present them in an artistic way. With all of that in mind I can't imagine the song having any power over her.

Dealing with a close loss, such as a sibling, is a deep pain and as time may help one accept it the pain doesn't really lessen. It's one of those things that is too much that time cannot erase. Also, a studio is a different setting...There are only a few people, all her closest friends. A live audience is full of hundreds or thousands of fans cheering and singing along. As I'm not Amy I can't really answer for her, but personally I think it's her personal story and just hearing a crowd of thousands singing along would be painful, even if she could bear the emotional pain of singing it. But that's just my two cents on the matter, and who knows, maybe one day she will. But personally I have doubts.

Well... she did sing Hello for Casey, Jacob, Carrie, Shaun, and her dad; and hinted that she may play it live someday.

If you're referring to the home video from ages ago, she was singing very quietly and didn't really finish. She may have said "some day" just out of the awkwardness of the situation.

It was still live for those few people and she finished singing it. Amy: (something inaudible about not playing this song live)John: I've never heard you sing that live. Amy: We never have... Not yet. I'd like to. She seems really comfortable.
