First of all I didn't you were Amanda on Twitter (therefore had no idea 'Amanda' was on EvThreads). And it was from a few days ago. I only saw it today and thought it should be shared. |

He didn't he answer AA's question of whether Forever You/Bleed were supposed to be on Fallen. Well, at least we now know that Bleed is the correct name.

Since Bleed is primarily Ben's song, it makes sense why Ben would be annoyed (in that post on The-O-Board/who-knows-where interview) as to someone not calling it by the correct name. |

What if the "Help, *something* I've got to tell someone..." is "Help, he'll know, I've got to tell someone..."? Though it does sound like it's either "Help, you know", "Help, I know", "Help, oh no", or "Help, hello"... Hmm....  I always thought it was was " Help me, though I've got to tell someone..." because I thought it made more sense with the "I fear you, and spoken fears can come true" line. |

Has anyone noticed that the guitars during the first refrain (We all live, But we all die) to the first chorus, the guitars sound a lot like they do in All That I'm Living For (beginning around minute 1:02) but in the second "We all live..." part, they're a bit different/broken up/stutter-y?
Geeze, could you just imagine if this song was re-worked; how much more epic it would be!? I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

Jamie, Rarkphoenix & mydnyghtamethyst: Could it have been an electric violin with some type of synth hook up to make it sound like that? Or could it have been a fretless guitar with a synth? This (at 1:25) sounds kind of like that synth in the solo but I'm not sure when this MIDI hook up became available for the electric guitar.

It definitely sounds more like a cello than anything else (it could also be a viola). Cellos have a deeper, and much richer sound, because they're bigger and can resonate lower frequencies more Run through a distortion/overdrive filter in ProTools? Not sure which one (there are loooads). But are electric cellos a thing? |

Jamie I think electric cellos are a thing, but I'm definitely with you on it being an acoustic instrument through a digital filter. Definitely don't think it's a fretless guitar so I think something in the same family as a cello is a very good shout.

Electric cello's are a thing. youtu.be/DRVvFYppU0wBut, ah! Did Ev have access to ProTools then? I'm thinking this was an earlier demo because of the presence of David's voice. It seems like David's voice was slowly phased out of the songs even though Wind-Up wanted male vocals on Fallen but Amy said "absolutely not". Edit: Wow. I was thinking of the demos as 2000-2001 demos, not 2001-2002 demos. Ev was signed in 2001 so they very most likely had access to ProTools for this song. |

For the pro tools question, I am sure that they did have access to pro tools since Ben said in an early interview the when he was a child his father through a pro tools book at him and said "learn this". In the making of fallen videos theres a point where ben was messing around with some early demo recordings and its an earlier version of pro tools. So the odds are that they had access. Which at that time would have been amazing because unlike today where everyone and their mom's dog can purchase and use pro tools, it wasn't as common back in that time period.

I just kind of messed with the solo in a music editing program. It's most likely a violin (main) and a guitar. Though, the guitar is an underlying instrument giving that distortion kind of sound.
