This is my favourite without-the-band Ev song ever. I love the fantasy-like melodramaticism of this song, which is so TOD-ish and something that the new record is missing.

yeah, secret door did awesome work on the new record
but TA is somehow different, it has a kind of magical "vibe", something like a fairytale feeling, maybe it's because of its theme... i should listen it more often!

Someone should move this thread to the TOD section soon.
I don't know if this has been brough up before but I remember an interview where Amy said Terry and her had gone looking for an old typing machine recorded the sound of it and used it for a song. It was very interesting that they were so into creating vibes and stuff for songs and I've noticed that his sounds are all over Together Again, look for them.
And also I love the almoste up-beat-ness of it, that and the very distinctive instrumentation make it a stand out between all Amy-Solo Evanescence songs.

Since they were released individually and not with the album, go ahead and move them back to Other Works. Blah. I don't think this rule thing... lol. I won't move TLSIWOY since it was released with the digital pre-order TOD. |
