I think it would be awesome if Evanescence re-recorded this song in the studio the way they play it live. I think that would be so awesome! It would make it more epic.

Imaginary is yet another one of my all-time favourite Ev songs. It's so beautiful and dreamy... <3 Its lyrics make you drift into other dimensions, and I do believe they're among the most beautiful pieces of art Amy has ever written. Needless to say, I find the instrumental magical. The way Tourniquet flows into Imaginary with Amy's gentle voice, the piano parts, the string ones, the choir in the background... Everything about this song is a bliss! <3 (And it never really gets old.) I think it would be awesome if Evanescence re-recorded this song in the studio the way they play it live. I think that would be so awesome! It would make it more epic. Indeed, their live versions of this song are a killer! Especially the "Swallowed up" part with Amy's piano additions. In fact, some live performances of Imaginary remind me of the older versions of it. |

^You're right, it doesn't get old. Even now, I still get chills.
But anyway, I feel like I relate to this song more and more everyday. It all kind of hit me when they played this at my show in August... Don't get me wrong, Imaginary has ALWAYS been one of my all-time favorite songs, but I guess right then I realized how much I've been able to relate to it, and the feeling has grown since.

What's the difference between the Fallen version and the Mystary version of this song? 'Cause I downloaded the Mystary version years ago and it sounded exactly the same. I have a version that has the strings at the end of Tourniquet at the start, but I think I had to download that from somewhere else and I put it as the Mystary version 'cause it felt more fitting. I don't know, I was a weird fourteen year-old. Lol.

There are about 6 subtle differences. |
