I like pretty much all of the versions of MI except the Fallen version, but that changed ever since my baby nephew died. I can appreciate it more. I have a hard time listening to all versions now...
The song has lovely piano and wonderful vocals. I really like the bridge in the Fallen and the demo version.

Hmmmm...what good things can I say about sick considering it's my second least favorite off of Ev3
The chorus is what makes me not completely hate the song..it's so fist pumpingly amazing and a perfect song to listen to in your car with the speakers as load as they go when you are pissed off

I instantly liked Sick when I listened to Ev3. It's really different to the Evanescence that I'd come to know and love, and I really liked it. I still like it, but I listen to it a lot less and I'm not sure why that is. Amy sings with such conviction, and that middle eight is really spectacular. There's nothing particularly special about the instrumentation, at least, I can't really hear anything, but the lyrics and the vocals really stood out to me.
I'm a fan of alternative metal (Breaking Benjamin is tied with Ev and Flyleaf as my favourite band), and it felt a little like I'd been given the gift of a much more masculine alt. metal track and I just really, really loved that. I wonder how much of this was written by the guys?

Amy sings with such conviction, and that middle eight is really spectacular. This, and this. I like the middle eight on this song more so than those on many Ev3 songs, even the ones I like considerably more than Sick.

I've always enjoyed listening to Sick, the start sounds very cool to me, and it was played live the first time I saw them. There were a handful of songs on Ev3 which I couldn't really get into for a while, but I always liked this one from the start.

Sick really needs a guitar solo, and I wish the intro would be a bit longer. I LOVE the second verse and the chorus is okay too, and I also like the effect on Amy's vocals in the beginning of the last chorus. This song used to be one of my favourites from Ev3, but nowadays, it's one of my least favourites.

*sigh*
When I made a thread where the only rule is that you can only say good things about the songs, I knew the day would come when I'd have to say nice things about Sick.
It has thrilling drumming in the verses and the beginning of the second verse where she says "Oceans between us" is positively lovely and I wish the whole song was like that. Also, as others have said, the conviction, brah. The conviction.
*shits himself*

Yes, the conviction! I love Sick, actually. It's mah angry song (or at least one of my angry songs). The chorus is my favorite part.

Sick is my least favorite off Ev3. Probably one of the least favorites of all.

^ Remember we're supposed to post positive things about the song! Well this one isn't hard for me because I think "Sick" is a great song! I immediately liked it the first time I listened to Ev3. It stood out to me as one of the catchiest, heaviest tracks on the album. I love the instrumentation in this song, especially the guitars and drums - their parts in the beginning are killer. I also adore the deep, atmospheric synth and bits of piano. This song is so anthemic and just gets you pumped. The lyrics are simple, but I think how straight-forward they are works for this song. I've also always really liked the line "hold on little girl, the end is soon to come" for some reason. And man, Amy's vocals are fantastic in this song. Just listening to it so closely, I love all the little details you can hear in her voice that give the song so much more emotion and conviction. I think it was a real missed opportunity not releasing this song as a single. It would've killed on rock radio for sure. I hear a lot of fans complain that this song is too generic sounding, but I take that as an indicator that it would've done really well on radio. I think it would've had mass appeal to rock audiences. Damn you, Wind-Up! (And how fitting since this song is about them haha.)

Well, I absolutely love Sick. It was probably one of the very first songs that I liked when Ev3 came out. This song got me through a lot with trouble at home, and I think it deserves more recognition. But we all have our opinions, and I respect that Also, someone on Ev Confessions on Tumblr pointed out that the into to Sick sounded like Whisper. I agree, don't you think?

What should have happened: Release Sick and Made of Stone to rock radio, release Lost in Paradise to pop (and rock still) radio instead of MHiB. Release dance remix of Erase This to club stations and dj's. Bam! Hehehehe... I've just always thought MHiB wasn't the best choice of single, and I think MHiB's success is what determined whether or not WU continued promoting the album.

I've just always thought MHiB wasn't the best choice of single, and I think MHiB's success is what determined whether or not WU continued promoting the album. Oh I agree, "MHIB" should not have been a single. Terrible choice. They were stupidly trying to get a crossover single, when I think it should have been obvious from "WYW"s success in rock and lack of impact in pop, that rock radio was the way to go this era. It was baffling to me that they released "MHIB" when they did, because the "MOS" remix was featured in Underworld at that time. Hello, there's your promotion for "MOS". Everything just got messy and confusing after that and they could never recover. I mean, not even the fans really knew when "MOS" and "TOS" were released to radio. They never had a chance. I think the singles should have been "WYW", then "MOS" since it was in Underworld, and then in whatever order - "Sick", "TOS", and possibly even "The Change" for a lighter rock single. But anyway, I guess I'm getting off track here, other than saying that "Sick" totally should've been a single.
