Those videos aren't working though... and what is this Stomin' Steve stuff everyone's talking about? And Lost Whispers? This video is working: This one is "Lost Whispers". It's not actually the song title, it's currently untitled. Lost Whispers is just a name fans gave the song because of the lyrics. 1:38 AM Not sure if this is a Lillywhite sessions song. Lost WhispersStompin' Steve Another Piece Of The Puzzle
I think those are the only Lillywhite Videos we had Alright. For the song in the video titled "1:38 AM" that music is AMAZING. I would have adored whatever song that was... or is, or could have unfortunately been. The piano piece was so exquisite, I loved it! Did that turn up in a song, or is this another song we haven't heard? Stompin' Steve - Youtube comments are claiming she told EvClub the song's name is *Please do not reveal EvClub material on this board* and it sounds AMAZING! With the exception of Secret Door it's better than any other song on Ev3! Remind me again how Lillywhite wasn't a good fit? That's WU talking for sure. PLEASE tell me there's a chance they could release these songs?

Apparently 1:38AM is rumored to be a demo version of MOS, however this is just speculation and was never confirmed. Amy has said that she felt she was making a solo record and Wind-Up felt the same. So Wind-Up made them scrap the 2009 sessions and go back to writing (according to Terry). So I believe the idea to scrap the Lillywhite Sessions was a mutual decision between Amy and the label. As for hearing the songs, Amy says that they would have to be reworked if they ever intend to release that material.

If nothing else I hope we get Stompin' Steve. But I really like the electro used on 1:38 AM. That was really amazing. Are these the only 3 songs from the Lillywhite sessions that weren't re-worked onto Ev3? Or just the three we know of? Sorry about the title. Now that it's gone, is it the correct title? You can just say yes or no. I sent Amy and the band a bunch of Tweets asking for a Digital EP release of these songs, which may never happen but I hope it does... I don't know why she can't release them under her name as a solo EP or something... ANYTHING.

I'm sure they're all on a digital file (or on a disc) on her computer or on Dave Fortman's (that's they're manager right? lol) computer. No. There are A LOT of Lillywhite Session songs that haven't made it onto Ev3. For example, Hi-Lo and You've Got A Lot To Learn aren't on there. The only songs from the Lillywhite Sessions that made it onto Ev3 are Made Of Stone, Sick, End of the Dream, Swimming Home, and Secret Door. All I'm going to do about the song title is direct you to the Italian EvRef Song page. You can figure it out for yourself. We will probably hear these songs someday but they will probably be a tad different. I'm not sure what the contract with Wind-Up and Lillywhite entailed but Amy has said that they will need to re-work the Lillywhite stuff to release it. But remember, Amy has said she hates doing what people expect her to do, so let's not bug her about stuff that we want.

Wait. Sick, End of the Dream, and Secret Door are from the Lillywhite sessions? Where is this info from? Also Ev's manager is Christina, Dave Fortman was the producer for Fallen and TOD I'm going to go against popular opinion. I want an Ev album. Ev have just been the best they have ever been and I think they should keep that momentum going. Plus I NEED a tour. Touring is one of the best parts of Ev, it's the most magical and awesome experience ever. Only one request though, Ev get to do what THEY want, not what Wind-Up wants and they get to incoporate and re-work the lillywhite stuff and go down the electronic route if they wish. I mean if you listen to Origin and Fallen there are many electronic aspects to them, so why did Wind-Up make such a big deal out of it? I doubt the whole album sounded like Swimming Home lol I LOVE Stompin Steve by the way, it's like a cross between The Other Side and Weight of the World to me. I hope we get to hear it one day, even if it's a bit reworked.

But remember, Amy has said she hates doing what people expect her to do, so let's not bug her about stuff that we want. Amy said she would like us to hear them? Oh thank goodness. Perhaps they'll be released eventually like Together Again and If You Don't Mind were. Preferably an official release of course, but still, I'm glad that it's possible to hear Evanescence B-sides. Why don't they just release a B-sides album? The answer to that of course is probably because WU is a horrible label. I mean seriously, if Ev3 hit #1 why not just grab the Lillywhite songs, release it as a Digital EP and max on their popularity? But hey, maybe Amy is planning to sit on those songs and release them when she doesn't have new material planned after the tour so we're still engaged while they record a new album or something. I don't know but the sooner the better, because the Lillywhite sessions are the sound I was EXPECTING and that I WANTED from Ev 3, and honestly, it turns out that all the songs I liked on Ev3 were from those sessions after all, except NGB and Oceans. I wanted cool haunting creative music, not generic rock. I can't believe they stifled Amy's creative and brilliant work in favor of something so bland and safe. Does WU forget they are called ARTISTS? Frankly I think the label wants to market the band as a rock band and not as what it really should be - Amy writing the material and having creative control with Terry alongside her. I love the other members but honestly, you get too many Rockheads involved and you end up with a drowned out vocalist that, let's face it, is the star of the band and her voice makes the music. It's not about anything else. The Lillywhite sessions have killer background music but her her VOICE the priority. Got the title, thank you. I just hope they don't fragment the songs and strew them all over new material. I'd love to be able to hear the core song itself preserved. Slap 10 seconds of Piano at the end and call it a changed new song. LOL. Or add some piano throughout it or something. IDK about legal matters but I wish she'd be able to leave them as they are and release a B-sides album of the material. Oh well, now we wait.

Titanic: Amy has also mentioned that she would love to release a B-Sides/Rarities album. Why Evanescence hasn't yet, is beyond me. Wind-Up probably hasn't even heard of the idea yet and if they have, they'll probably give the OK when they feel it'll make more sales; like possibly during a break when the band are taking time off or when Evanescence decides to call it quits for a while (like Disturbed). Or maybe it's in the contract that they cannot make a b-sides/rarities album until a certain amount of albums have been sold to have enough b-sides/rarities. I don't think unfinished songs or pre-signed material counts though. BUT I'm not sure on this so please don't quote me on this. Wait. Sick, End of the Dream, and Secret Door are from the Lillywhite sessions? Where is this info from? Also Ev's manager is Christina, Dave Fortman was the producer for Fallen and TOD From the Album credits. And oh...

I think Ev3 is good and all, but I too was expecting something way more interesting and experimental, especially after all the talk of going electronic and the amazing previews. What we ended up with was kind of disappointing for me. I also discovered that a lot of my favorite songs were reworked from the Lillywhite sessions. I still believe there's a way to balance the rock and the experimental/electronic within Ev. TOD is a testament to that. I hope that the next Ev album will be both heavy and creative. And whatever stuff just doesn't fit Ev, Amy can release as a solo artist.

Meh, i don't know if i still have hopes. I'd LOVE for Amy to release a solo album with those Lillywhite songs and all the songs she's probably been doing since 2008 that don't fit Evanescence acording to her. But i wouldn't like them to disband, becuse i'd miss them so much as a band! I'm just hoping they find a better label someday, so they can finally do what they really want to do with their music, without label guys telling them it's not a good idea or that they should change it. I'm sure they could do their music 100 times more interesting and less generic if they had enough freedom and a supportive label behind them. Besides, this is the best line up we've seen in the band's history (imo anyway), i think they've never sounded better live and Amy becomes a better singer with each new album they release.
With that said, i'm sure Amy could do a great electronic/trip-hop/acoustic/whatever album if she finds they right people to do it with. I mean, there are so many creative and experimented musicians and producers she could work with.

Why can't we have both? (other than the fact that Amy would be 50 by the time that happened)
I'd really love to hear what Amy could do as a solo artist. If she could sign a 1-album contract with an awesome label that would let her experiment with her creativity and also promote her that would be ideal. Can you imagine an album with songs like Swimming Home, TLSIWOY, Good Enough and Together Again? All that soft piano goodness with Amy's voice on top? AHH! I want it so badly. I don't want Evanescence to disband though. I'd love to hear what would happen if they all sat down (with Amy as the obvious creative lead and Terry right beside her) and just worked on creating something new, refreshing, different but still Evanescence. EV3 is an awesome album, but the full-on heavy rock from start to finish just gets a little bit old for me. Don't get me wrong, I love to hear Amy's voice wail over the guitars... Just not on every track. The Ev songs I like most are the ones with lots of piano, layers, and weird electronic noises. That is the kind of music I would like for the current line-up to experiment more with. The band as it is the strongest I have ever heard it. Will is flipping amazing on the drums, Terry and Troy mesh so well on guitars and Tim has his own rhythm that I love. I just want them to take all of their strengths and combine them into something amazing instead of something "mainstream rock". This could happen if Ev would just change friggin labels. Ditch wind-up guys! You deserve better! I just want something awesome and soon.

If she could sign a 1-album contract with an awesome label that would let her experiment with her creativity and also promote her that would be ideal. I honestly don't think she'd even need to sign any kind of deal to put out a solo album. Nowadays, anyone can easily raise funds for anything on the internet. There's even sites specifically for musicians to raise money for projects. She could easily get all the money she would need to make an album directly through the fans. I actually think it would be pretty awesome if Ev would just do away with record labels altogether and let us directly fund their music. Cut out the middleman. The more I think about it, the more I believe they're at the point where they should go independent.

It's interesting that you say this because i've heard Amy say several times during this tour how the industry changed so much and how it's not even necessary to sign to a record label anymore, artists just do their own thing by themselves and go about their music in a whole different way. Who knows? Maybe she has already thought about that chance. Idk how that would work out for a band like Ev, though. Although the more i think about how Wind-up sucked with promos, editing songs and all that this time around, the more i think that maybe going independent won't be that bad, even though they're Evanescence.

Am I the only one who didn't really enjoy the lillywhite songs? YES. Lol just kidding. I can totally see how some people wouldn't enjoy it though. Just like how a number of fans didn't like TOD and preferred Fallen. Some people just aren't into the weird electronic stuff. While I'd personally love to see Ev return to that sound, it wouldn't be so bad if Ev stayed a more hard rock-oriented band, as long as Amy releases the weird stuff on solo albums. A sure way to please everyone!
