So looking forward to this. The album cover is very surprising but I like it! I'm very curious about the sound of this album. For me, I hope it will have some more darkish/"gothic"/choir elements again and Amy's lower register. I missed it on most songs of the Ev3 album. But of course, beggars can't be choosers! Can't wait!!

There was also another post on his FB that seems not available anymore. He was in the studio while recording the new album!
I think we might either see a music video, or a studio documentary directed by him.
or both! OO

I want to see how Amy is going to finish this album as we are facing a complicated virus.

^^ I would love it if he directed an Ev video. Speak to me was so georgous. And, needless to say, it'd be a nice change of pace from P.R. Brown. ๐

Just cause I think if they really want to change and go beyond what they've done in the past they need to use other people for the visuals of this album. Leave P.R. Brown in with Synthesis, he typically uses the same style anyways, so I don't want to see it again. I wonder who designed the cover? Also, this is what Amy had to say about what to expect on the album...

I've seen a couple great examples of using their OG logo and I think it could work? Either way it's cool but it would be nice to see the nod to their logo. Really, really, really unnecessary and disrespectful... If Evanescence want to change their image a little, let them do it... Even, What If Amy want to departure from her clasical image and want something more raw? What's disrespectful about it? The majority of the ones who have done some edits actually really LIKE the cover, myself included. We're artists and we're just having some fun. It's just like covering a song. I so agree with this. Now that I've seen these logos, I really want the Evanescence font incorporated into it! But I'm happy with new music, I'm so excited it's crazy to sit down and think about anything else now. Edit: I quoted the wrong post. I do like the fan-made mock ups better than the official album cover art. I was gonna say! But yes, like I said the cover is cool, I do actually think the concept is neat and VERY different which makes it more exciting for me. Just wish the E logo or Evanescence font made it into the cover. I love the name of the album. It's all very exciting. What I love about the entire idea is that they're essentially reinventing themselves, not just musically but also visually. They've always been about constantly upping their game with each album and to challenge themselves by stepping outside of themselves, but still always having that same core feeling. No matter how much they change their sounds and styles, they'll always be THEM. And that's what I feel this album artwork represents. All of the other album covers are great, and I'm sure we all expected the art for this one to be ethereal and magical and flashy, which I'm sure Amy THOUGHT that's what we would expect, so they do a complete 180 in the other direction to surprise us, as much as they surprise themselves when experimenting with new music. I'm also digging the tone of the image. If the artwork is any indication as to how the music is going to sound, then I expect one hell of an emotional ride. I'm so fucking ready.

The more I get used to the album cover / direction, the more I like it. Feels nice and fresh - Ev3 (although I still love it) was a bit too obvious for me to really fall in love with it, so very happy for something different to their usual!

I do too, the totally different direction is actually growing on me and making it more exciting in the process. Seriously can't wait to hear this song Friday!

I really wish they had used the OG logo and not that really boring and basic font for the album logo. Those fan edits are really good. Either way I love the image I think it's completely left field and different. As someone mention, if the Ev logo was on the pill that would of been awesome. Very excited for us to get a brand new album. It's been a long time waiting but the end is in sight! I agree with Matt. Amy never liked of being associated with goth. She likes the dark stuff, and that's all. The album cover is strange to me, but I'm slowly getting used to it. It's very 2005 as someone put it on Twitter. Lol. I thought they would get rid of the E logo/font for Synthesis only, as it was more of a passion/side project. Are we counting TBT as the fifth album, right? To me Synthesis is the fourth. I'm really curious about the album's sound and direction. I know it's gonna be diverse, as it has TOD/weird vibes. And I'm hoping they will get a better mixing engineer, because Ev3 and The Chain's mixing is so bad! Am I aiming too high to hear any unreleased 'broken record' song on the new album? Haha. Wells, that producer participated in a handful of songs for TBT, and Amy did mention that the first songs were produced by Nick.[/quote] It's always a anxious feeling waiting for new music to see if you still like it. The Chain took me a couple of listens to completely love ( which is a good thing ) but i agree about synthesis. While I obviously love the songs something about the mastering seemed a bit off to me too.

4 songs recorded with Nick
I hope the others are a brand new producer that she has never worked with, but I would love it if it was Guy Sigsworth
