I'm going to post the videos I took here later. The quality isn't amazing but I'm glad I have them.

I hear Lindsey closed this show. By my own calculations Lindsey will also close the Toronto show, assuming they always alternate. This kind of bums me out. I would rather see the Ozzy/Sia cover than the Lana Del Rey cover. :/

That was the most goth-y outfit she wore in a long time. It looks amazing. Anyone else wondering which one of the outfits weighs 15 lbs ?

Sorry they're all vertical. It didn't even cross my mind when recording. Amy's mic wasn't working at first for some reason. Don't think it was turned on.

That was fun! I saw Evanescence for the first time at DTE in 2012 so it was cool to return. This time, they performed on my mom's birthday (which is only the day after my dad's birthday) and since I got to see Ev the day right after my birthday, my mother was like "well now it's my present too." XD Yay EvHead parents lol Main things I want to say: 1. I met The_Sacrificed! We only had a chance to talk for a few minutes but it was so cool to FINALLY meet an internet pal! She's super nice and chill. 2. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS UPCOMING EGGAR/PALMER ALBUM!? One of the songs Dave and Chuck performed was (as Dave explained) written by Amy for their Cellogram EP coming out this month. My dad recorded this little snippet of it and I just had to share it because I was SO impressed by how cool it sounds! I will definitely be buying that album. 3. Evanescence went first, which didn't really bother me because I knew the set would still be the same length. Their backdrops for this tour are absolutely perfect, imo. Very metaphorical but not too ridiculous or flashy. (For example: I love Lady Gaga, but I don't always understand the purpose behind some of her backdrops or I find them distracting.) Each one went really well with each song - I especially loved End of the Dream and Your Star. I was happy to see the water droplets for Bring Me to Life, because when I was little and hadn't seen the video for BMTL, I always thought the video should have rain. Also, I absolutely loved Amy's outfit! This was very different from my first Synthesis experience because I was in the back of the pavilion, while I was in the front row last time. But it was still every bit as engaging and cool. The only thing I thought felt a little odd was the shift from being super formal for the first tour to being not as formal for this one. More people chatted during songs at this show, so the whole thing felt kind of different. I was also pretty hot thanks to the weather. 4. I only know some of Lindsey's music, but I was quite happy with her show. She is an excellent performer. Her backdrops were also really beautiful even though they were more active/flashy than Ev's. Her set was definitely more dynamic, because unlike Ev, she didn't totally redo her songs for this tour. She kept them about the same and just added in orchestra, like Within Temptation does for their orchestra shows. The orchestra wasn't always as prominent in her set, though I must say, I was SO pleased that she only had the orchestra (and herself) and Crystalize. No synths. I really love that song and it felt even more epic with the brass instruments instead of the usual bass. The dancing was super fun to watch and made me miss show choir with a fury. "Shatter Me" was definitely a highlight - now I can't stop listening to it. I didn't connect with it as much when it first came out, but now I feel like I 'get it.' My dad has been dragged to a lot of concerts lately so I knew he wasn't particularly excited to see pretty much the same Ev setlist again, but he enjoyed it just as much all over again and was quite enthralled with Lindsey Stirling. I think this will be my last time ever sharing a hotel room with my family because of my father's snoring. It is. So. Loud. I barely slept last night and even put in headphones to listen to dishwasher noises on YouTube. XD So I'm sorry if this is rambly and incoherent... I'm also drained from Michigan traffic and their different traffic layouts (for lack of a better term). Ya girl is just tired.
