I don't know how many people here have seen this video, but apparently it's from 2007 when Ev was touring Argentina. According to the Tumblr post that led me to the video, in the chaos of the crowd, people were pulling at Amy's hair and someone stole the glasses right off of her face. The video ends with Amy crying in Josh's arms in their van.
After watching this video, I wish I could show it to all of the fans who have behaved badly towards Amy and other musicians/actors/celebrities. I especially want to show it to the people who mocked Avril Lavigne for those awkward photos where she just "stood" near fans. This is the reason that many people have a 'don't touch' policy when it comes to fans. It's frightening how people seem to care more about touching a person they admire than actually respecting the person they admire and giving them some space.
I wasn't sure whether to put this video in here or the General Amy Lee section, but considering the timestamp, I figured Ev was the best place.

with reading what you described above, I doubt if I ever watch this video ... btw, it doesn't matter where to put this video. here, in Amy's section, in your twitter or fb or on a popular website, or as breaking news on cnn! stupid people are everywhere. always. even if you show this video to all of them one by one, nothing changes imo. a true fan never does something like that...

It's fine to put here.
This video is disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves for acting like that.

wow that video really disturbed me, it's horrible! It must be so freightening to walk into a mob like that and even when she's distressed and crying into Josh's arms, people continue to press up against the window screaming at her. I can't believe people would treat someone they apparently love so much that way

Holy crap, I had no idea they had to deal with this level of craziness. I know that huge popstars get mobbed like this, but I never imagined Ev would. People seriously need to learn boundaries. I feel so bad for her crying like that at the end.

Just the video is giving me a headache. I can't even imagine how it feels to be in the middle of this madness. This is how the social network crazies act in real life. They respect no boundaries and treat people like objects when they want something. It's disgusting but it's a fact in every fandom. However, I don't think showing them the video will change their behaviour. I've had discussions with such fans before and it seems like they don't realise that what they are doing is wrong even if one explains to them exactly why it is wrong.

Jesus... harridan is exactly right, they're treating her like an object. It's atrocious that they hoarded her like that trying to touch her. And it made me so sad to see her break down at the end. I just don't understand how people think it's logical to treat her like that, or act like this toward any celebrity for that matter.

WTF? Seriously? This is ridiculous. These are not fans. They are incredibly disrespectful people who don't know how to keep their cool. I once, unfortunately, got to see someone yell in Amy's face. Everybody looked f'ing annoyed (including Amy).
These people treat Amy like a celebrity. We respect her as the artist she is, not some slab of meat.

I remember seeing this before but never knew that's what that was until you said. That's so sad and disrespectful. I don't understand how people can treat someone like that..

Ive never seen this before and I'm disgusted. I think this proof of the difference between Fans and true fans. Those that act in ways that they usually would not because they have no shame and believe that the said Famous person would not remember them are not true fans. True Fans have Respect for the artist and genuinely feel empathy towards them and their well-being and would never do anything purposely to upset them or cause harm.
That is not to say that all of the people that where there are being disrespectful towards Amy because not everyone is the same not all Airport meetings are terrible like this I've been to one for another band that was on the very extreme opposite of this where no one screamed or crowded and did what they were told by the bands manager and the band actually came around and signed our stuff.
And from that experience i have sort of come to the conclusion that it is our responsibility as respectful fans each other in this situation and discuss what is acceptable and appropriate behaviour to make sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to non official and organised meetings of bands and celebrities like this. you sort of need to make sure everyone keeps calm and relaxed and chilled and that everyone is sort of helping each other achieve that. Like a little reminder of what not to do likes screaming and shouting touching without asking etc. and things like asking for a hug, a hand shake, a hi, letting them come to you. just stuff like that should be talked about because it means that everyone can have a good experience not just the YOLO disrespectful fans who think that because its once in a life time thing and the celebrity will never remember their face or their name.
While what i say won't stop the truly crazy fans, at least majority of fans will be some what tame, and the bodyguards and managers can handle the one off crazies.

i mean yeah i'm a fangirl, but i would keep my cool, wait my turn, and respectfully say something to Queen Amy. This is like this with any other major bands. i know Green Day fans act like this sometimes. You got the true fans, and you got the lunatics in every fandom/bandom.

This is actually a little difficult to watch, but thanks so much for sharing because it needs to be seen. It is quite scary how so many people start blurring the lines between people and an almost 'godlike' status that they give certain celebrities. I'm not surprised it brought her to tears, I found it unsettling and I'm a 20+ year old bloke watching it from the safety of a laptop screen in a hotel room. Being in that madness where you honestly have no idea how the hordes of screaming people are going to treat you once the euphoria hits them, has got to be borderline terrifying, and it's got to be even worse knowing that those are some of the very people who've connected most closely with your life's work. They should be friends/family of a sort who you can share your life experiences and learn from in turn, not people who cause you to fear for your own life. Edit: Plus, I really have no idea how she keeps smiling to the fans and doesn't lose her cool. I'd be telling them all to f' off if I were her (just one more reason why I don't have a cult following, whilst she does )

Amys one tough Bitch.. and i say that in the most sincerest way ((not)Like its a bad thing(hehe(*cough*Halestrom*cough*)))
The video actually sort of reminds me of the Going Under music video... Thats exactly what its like.
If i were there i probably would have told a lot of people off for acting like a complete utter.... Yeah i better not finish that sentence.
Amy has Josh i think that sort of explains how she keeps her cool as well as experience. This was back in 2007 so i wonder if fans have grown up and maybe the tour for ev3 would have been less chaotic... wait... i just remembered at the Sydney show some Idiot jumped off the carpark balcony into the entrance to the backstage area (driveway) which is gated off... while amy was doing a signing through the gates. security guards swarmed and tacked him as he got up and escorted him out. i wonder if any one got that on tape.
Also just realised my DP is basically a reference to every crazy ev fan.. I suppose you can be a crazy fan and still be respectful.

Poor Amy. It's really scary how people have no respect and think that it's ok just to terrorize someone like that. I know that isn't the first time something like that happened, but no wonder she takes 5 year hiatuses.

Those are not fans, those are fanatics.
Fans know they are people just like us, fanatics won't listen to reason, and will do anything to achive their goal - touch, poke, grope (and probably will sell her hair on ebay afterwards).
