acoustic_ev wow! i love that I started to really appreciate MI during the Ev3 era, it's magic... I can't believe i wasn't into MI earlier, although it was a third track i heard of them (right before i got my first pirate copy of Fallen, lol).

Hey, I stubled across this cool vid on the evolution of the song. There really are many versions of My immortal. The one version that was not included though is the live version which is really different from all of them. If you want to check it out, here it is. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVT63kqKEZc&list=UU4bg1NGUAUoWfcvrFHjHEPw

So, I'm finally buckling down and going to learn this whole song on the piano. I really hate track four piano arrangement so I'm watching a tutorial with the band version arrangement. I hope I don't give up, again. lol.

It took me like a month to get the pre-chorus right. XD

Joey says Rocky was the drummer for the Band Version (Rocky told him "in person"). What do you all think if this?
I think it's a bit far fetched since the band version was the intended Track 4 but Wind-Up wanted the origin Version as track 4 with added strings. Amy complained in an interview about it and not even being done on a real piano.

^Do we know for sure if the band version was the intended track four or was it the other recording of My Immortal on the Mystary EP?

Welp, then as far as I'm concerned, I don't see how the recording credits would be any different than on the rest of Fallen. I only believe what I read in official interviews and official social media posts anymore.

The story behind all this is interesting. Wind-Up really was such a buzzkill though...BMTL probably would've been just as successful without those unnecessary male vocals. #UnpopularOpinions

Yeah. It does say in the Fallen credits "Rocky Gray appears courtesy of Tooth & Nail Records/solidstate." But I'm 98% sure that's because his name appears in the writing credits for Tourniquet.

I think to be certain we would need to look at the credits for the band version on a single or something, if he did indeed record it, then his name would be in there surely?

I have three singles with the band version. The Guitars Down WUJC, Australian 4 track, and the 5 track UK one. Neither of the singles have Rocky's name anywhere on the singles.
