Still listening to most of the album now in chunks, but my early favorites are Lockdown and Voice in My Head. Gotta say so far I am impressed immensely with this as a movie soundtrack and score.

Is anyone else having issues with the Google Play Store? I pre-ordered the album, but it's not available yet.
It's all good! The album has downloaded!

Currently at #18, right below BEYONCÉ, which isn't bad considering her massive performance on the VMAs.

I'm listening to it now too, I really like it already. I bought it from iTunes (Ireland) so I have it on my iPod now

Currently #10 on iTunes Australia Album Chart! Let's hope it keeps rising!
Are we going to have a thread on Album sales etc? Probly would be good to keep track of. Does anyone expect any reviews to be made on the album?

Listening to the whole thing for the second time. Not sure I love it or not just yet. It is probably one of the most depressing albums I've ever listened to. The movie must be really sad and heart breaking. The tracks are really mournful. I disagree with Amy on the album being a departure from Evanescence's sound. Even the lyrics are very Ev like. She used the word bro ken again...
What was really surprising and interesting was Harw Water. I really liked it. The whole album was very simplistic though.

She used the word bro ken again... What was really surprising and interesting was Harw Water. I really liked it. The whole album was very simplistic though. My opinion. I think the album deals with dark themes. I wouldn't necessarily call it "depressing" though. "Push the Button" is an upbeat and very sensual song. The movie gives you a feeling of internal struggle and emptiness. It's about a woman who suffers from PTSD, so the songs are mournful intentionally, but they are very beautiful. I definitely do think that this is a step in a different direction than Evanescence as it is not a rock band sound by any means. The lyrics are also AMAZING. And yes, they will be similar to Amy's previous work cause she's still Amy. I also can't agree that the album was "simplistic". At least not from a musician's point of view. This album is full of more intricate melodies and harmonies and progressions than any of her previous work with Evanescence. I love this project.

Also, I don't know how it's for other countries but single songs are available for sale too. $2,50 each. Gotta love those greedy bastards in the Japanese store. It was cheaper than that in the Norwegian one, and that's saying something, because most albums in iTunes here are around 16 dollars.

Good morning world! Just finished my first listen of Aftermath and it felt like a spiritual experience. ''Push the button'', OH MY. Amy, I didn't know you had this in you. ''Lockdown'' gave me complete chills and brought tears to my eyes. Her voice sounds like magic in this one! ''Dark water'' is awesome, but you know...bazinga! You won't hear the lyrics that Amy shared already. The digital booklet lets us know why. I managed somehow to screw the order of the songs while listening to it (typical me) so now I'm going to listen it again in the correct one.

I'm pretty sure Aftermath can be considered a success, considering the fact that it had absolutely no promo. I'm so happy for Amy, and she deserves it since this is an amazing album.

You won't hear the lyrics that Amy shared already. The digital booklet lets us know why. Why was that? The lyrics she shared online is just the poem that inspired the song. So, I guess we don't really know if the words Malika sings are the exact translation in Arabic.
