Hi! I'm an Evanescence fan since I first heard Bring Me to Life, and I still listen to them and Amy just like I did 10 years ago (Origin and everything). I honestly believe that everything Amy musically touches turns to gold for me and I'll love her forever. I never posted anything here (even though I new about this place ever since it was created), simply because I didn't want to speak just for the sake of speaking or because what I wanted to say was already said and processed, so to speak. However, now I do have something to say. My favourite track from Aftermath is Dark Water and I loved it from the first time I heard it. Is there anyone here (or anyone who knows somebody) who actually speaks Arabic and can write and translate the lyrics to this song? I can't say a word of Arabic but would like to know the exact lyrics Malika is singing (and how they compare to the original by Amy). Somebody already mentioned something in this regard (blueberry), but there was no reply, so I wanted to express that there are others who would like to see the actual lyrics of this song. Thanks a lot. F. It's Moroccan Arabic. A fan said that she's just singing a few lines over and over. Those were something like "I heard your footsteps, I felt my heart, etc..."

Dark Water is nominated at the 14th Annual Independent Music Awards. It's nominated at the Best World Beat category. The winner will be determined from the Artist and Industry judges and the votes of fans. Please look the thread titled: "14th Annual Independent Music Awards by Music Resource Group" under "Amy Lee Contests".

As per the discussion in this thread, I will just state that yes, I suspected they were Amy's vocals but I wasn't 100% sure. I didn't want to speculate. I think Amy's vocals are more prominent during: minute 1:19 to 1:31; 1:38 to 1:39; 1:57 to 2:04; 2:07 to 2:12; 2:19 to 2:25; 2:34 to 2:41; and 2:50 to 2:59. And I'm not too sure but I think starting at minute 1:02 to 1:06; 1:10 to 1:12 and 1:40 to 1:47 (because it's a high part and there is a similar high part later in the song that stems from what Malika was singing) are Amy's vocals as well. I also hear something that sounds like Amy under Malika, but in the Moroccan Arabic from 2:44 to 2:50. Are her vocals layered over Malika's or are there certain parts with only Amy singing? Amy has a solo-ish type part at minute 1:57 to 2:04 and 2:07 to 2:12.
