I don't know if this makes any difference but I've been hearing that song a lot whenever I go somewhere. It's just odd. So maybe that's a reason.

Other artists could only dream for a song as timeless as BMTL. I can only name a few and they're basically ALL pop artists, or just really famous rock bands. Which means Evanescence will always be in a pretty nice place, chart-wise, ehe.

Anyway, here are the chart trajectories for BMTL, for anyone who is interested (*x* stands for the peak position):
United States Billboard Hot 100: 64-54-43-39-26-25-15-14-10-8-8-6-*5*-6-6-8-8-8-7-7-11-16-17-18-20-22-28-28-33-35-38-42 Australia: 12-7-2-*1*-1-1-1-1-1-2-2-6-6-3-4-8-11-7-8-17-20-24-27-33-39-41-48 United Kingdom: 60-64-*1*-1-1-1-2-5-4-5-9-13-20-24-32-37-47-68-73

Other artists could only dream for a song as timeless as BMTL. I find this really ironic because Amy considers BMTL to be 'time-stamped' due to the rap.

If it hadn't been for this song I would have never discovered Evanescence. I know BMTL gets a lot of flack but I can always pop it on and never get bored of it. I do much prefer the Bliss mix without Paul McCoy's vocals in it though. And a shameless plug but I did a remix/ reimagining of this song if any of you guys are interested in listening haha. https%3A//soundcloud.com/darrenmusic/evanescence-call-my-name-bring-me-to-life-remix

Anyone watched this? hehe...you'll cry... www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JMQ7yqQ9K8 Anyway, I can't believe how Bring Me To Life stood the test of time. It's constantly being played on talent shows, the song is still selling and now it's a famous meme, too bad not a lot seem to get the song title and the artist right...XD

I have a question about the music video for this this song, I always thought that in the video amy dreams about the future (her falling) she actually escapes her apartment through the window, goes through that trouble only to fall down to her death, but in the end we see her sleeping. now I actually believe that the whole events of the video is actually just a nightmare amy was having and that she was asleep the whole time, sorry if I sound thickheaded but which one is actually correct?

I've always read it as the cliche "it was all just a dream" storyline. I guess if you were to read more into it, you could argue that Paul is supposed to represent Josh "seeing into her eyes" and entering her dream. It's always been pretty significant to me that in the video nobody notices Amy walking past until she reaches the band window. It's almost like she's trying to suggest that everybody is so preoccupied with their own lives that they don't notice her suffering and then out of nowhere someone shatters her bubble. Like anything artistic, it's mostly how you personally choose to interpret it though. If no specific explanation's given, you can pretty much read what you like from it.

I almost want to say I prefer the demos of BMTL to the Fallen version... I wish they would use the guitar solo from one of the demos in the live version, particularly now they've abandoned the little vocal exchange in the middle 8 when they play it.

I actually do prefer the demo, V.1 I believe, that has the awesome guitar solo that almost sounds like someone let out a blood curdling scream right at the very beginning of it. Thing is, I almost hate everything about the Fallen version now, I've tried so many different edits, but none of them keep me interested as much as the demo does, because that one sounds more natural to me. Bloody Wind-Up and their interference.
