Ever since the upgrade, I haven't been able to go straight to the most recent post in a thread, like there used to be. Is there a way to do that? Clicking on the thread nam just takes me to the beginning.

larki13 I am pretty sure it was the same before the update. If you want to see only new posts use the Recent Posts link on the homepage. If you want to see the threads with new posts, use the Recent Threads one and then just click on the last page number to see the newest posts in each thread. Note: Please, don't create a new thread for each question. Use the Forum Upgrade thread for all questions regarding the new version of the forum.

Clicking on the thread nam just takes me to the beginning. I think I know what you mean. I used to click on the side of the thread, where it said, "Last post by," and it took me straight there. If I click on the last updated thread from the homepage then it usually works, but only then. I just click on the last page number now. It was annoying at first, but I've gotten used to it.

I have one problem recently, I can't use ampersand [this: &] in my posts. Everytime I try to type it [ Right-Alt + C], the page suddenly reloads and the form where I type is sent - but without the rest of my sentence of course. It could be affected by some restrictions in the forum system - but is that really necessary? Nowhere else I met with this behavior

There are keyboard shortcuts in ProBoards now and you're hitting the send post command. Alt+C. I'm assuming your keyboard doesn't have & symbol on the 7 key?

Well, it has but only in the English settings, which means that it doesn't work when it's switched to my native language [Czech, in 99% of my time]. In Czech then there is a letter "ý" Guess that I should stop using ampersand because I really won't remember that I'd have to switch my keyboard when using proboards and typing or translating something else at the same time

PBv5 sure is a huge leap from PBv4.5. Checking the page source of EvThreads, it doesn't have tons of JavaScript codes like the older ProBoards used to have. I believe this version now uses plug-ins instead of manually putting raw codes in the Headers and Footers area?

Yep. Plug-ins took over the job that header/footer codes did. You still can enter codes in the headers/footers but its not necessary. EvThreads here doesn't have much plug-ins. I think I used only two and they just were for some minor things. There are really amazing things being done with them. One of the big things on ProBoards is roleplaying so I think a majority of plug-ins being made are geared towards that.

Indeed, most PB forums in the recent years have been dedicated to RPG. Even without much plug-ins, I can see v5 is already feature-rich from here. I'm quite excited to see what the new Admin Panel holds. When I get the time, I might upgrade one of my old test boards. Thanks for the info Osky! I will surely enjoy hanging around EvThreads again.
