I remember stumbling across this a while back and thinking "Oh hell no, I'm gonna go tell this bitch exactly how I feel and where she can shove her opinion!" and then I realised that it was just a really nice article.

Nice article. Although I don't really like this type of articles that in some way forces you to have an answer. Because the final answer if Amy is a good role model is up to your believes. But is a nice article anyway When I was at High School and College I would have loved to write an essay or article about her and the influence she could have on people But I never had the chance, ha!

Thanks for sharing this, I love this article. The title is misleading though (I thought the writer's going to insult Amy...) but everything is well-written =]

Love this article, they quoted her line from the New Music interview too! "You are who you are and there's nobody like you, and to try to be like somebody else is just a lie" <--- these words I live by. Personally, I think she's actually the best kind of role model as she's not so forward or close-minded as to attempt to indoctrinate young people with her views or beliefs and yet she's never put on the facade of perfection that so many so-called role models do. People need to realise that such 'perfect' role models don't exist since everybody has flaws. Believing in somebody's 'perfection' and modelling yourself completely on somebody else actually draws away from your own unique character. She's not perfect and she knows it. She is herself and she's unique because of it. That's the closest to a 'perfect' role model as I believe you can get.

a good read, i must say... i've looked up to Amy since i was about 10. so as amy stated about not wanting to be flashy or whatnot, about being a musician, not a stripper.... girls, need that now more than anything. now music has become, blah blah blah sex blah money blah shiny gold cars blah blah SWAG.
